4. Teaching responsibilities
Coursework at the Faculty of Letters and the Graduate School of Social Cultural Sciences (English Conversation A/B, English Composition A/B, Seminar/Lecture in the field of English-language literature), and for the General Education Program (English A/C); Research guidance (Tutorial I/II/III, Thesis/Dissertation guidance); Education/research tasks at the Center for Soseki and Hearn Studies

6. Required qualifications
Those who use English as their first language and are willing to do the education/research tasks concerning English-language literature and Soseki or Hearn studies, and further to join the education/research projects at the university. It is desirable that they can have a simple conversation in Japanese. They also should satisfy the following requirements: To possess a master's or doctoral degree, and at least five research papers, which should involve a peer-reviewed one, or the research achievements equivalent to them.
7. Application documents
(1) Curriculum Vitae (please include address, phone number, e-mail address, educational experiences and working experiences, and attach a photograph.)
(2) List of Publications (Forms are optional. In all publications, please include name of authors, titles, publication dates, journal and book titles, volume and number, page, single-authored or co-authored publication, etc., and attach a double-circle mark to the primary publication and a single-circle mark to the secondary publication. In the case of co-authored publications, identify the part you contribute.)
(3) Six copies of the two major (the primary and secondary) publications. (Photocopies are acceptable. Please attach a summary in about 500 words in English for each publication.)
(4) Six copies of an outline of your research, education and practice experiences (1000 to 1500 words in English).
(5) Six copies of the statement of your research and teaching plans at Kumamoto University (1000 to 1500 words in English).
8. Method of submission
(1) By registered mail or home delivery service
(2) Clearly indicate “Application material enclosed, The Field of Literature” in red on the envelope.

10. Deadline for application
All materials have to be received by June 25 (Monday), 2018.
11. Method of selection
Screening by application materials. The interview would be given in early July. The details about the place and date for the interview would be apprised to the applicants who passed the screening of the application materials. (Travel and accommodation expenses for the interview are not payed.)
12. Work conditions, etc.
Working hours: 7 hours and 45 minutes
Employment form: The employment term is not fixed.
Probation period: 6 months
Salary: In accordance with the Regulations on Salary for Employees of National University
Corporation Kumamoto University.
